Haas was the only player to miss the green with his tee shot

Haas was the only player to miss the green with his tee shot on the preferred side, to the left. It still left him with an almost impossible shot to go directly at the flag and he chose to play to the front half of the green and hope for a miracle. It was a miracle he got as his 50 foot right to left putt split the middle of the cup for birdie.

Mickelson and Bradley got themselves out of position with their tee shots and although Bradley’s putt from 15 feet so nearly went in the hole the winner had ping g15 driver effectively been determined.

While they might not have felt it at the time, many others had chances to take the title. So far behind was Sergio Garcia starting the final day that his final round started at the 10th, the field was split in half to accommodate the need to finish on time.

Garcia though would find himself right in the mix when he moved to 8 under for the round through 12 holes and at 6 under for the tournament he was within striking distance of the leaders. He was not able to maintain the momentum but he too discount golf clubs will be thinking what might have been had he been able to finish off just a little better. It was however yet another good week for the ever improving Spaniard.

Garcia tied with Jimmy Walker and Jarrod Lyle, Lyle gaining a relatively late start in the event from the alternate list. It was a lucrative stroke of luck as Lyle will earn US$260,00 for his Ping G20 Hybrid share of 4th position.

Aaron Baddeley did well in his attempt to defend his title when finishing 11th, a double bogey at his 13th hole proving very costly as he was working his way into contention at the time.
