And there is a burgeoning self-assurance among younger players, based on 24-year-old Jason Day, which adds to their appeal. Portion of being cool will be undaunted, after all. Or acting unfazed by stress, anyway.
"I think since Tiger came around, many experts have another game," Day said. "You're beginning start to see the Tiger Era - the Tiger middle-agers, if you will. I do think you will find there's completely confidence inside kids springing up now playing the overall game.
"The kids playing college golf today looks like Titleist VG3 Forged Irons professional golf(ers). These are more prepared. If they see their colleagues playing well, they believe, 'So can one.'
"It's exactly about strength and length. That's where a huge part of the cool factor arises from. They're learning faster and using it faster."
Aaron Baddeley, 30, sees becoming "fashion and attitude" meeting in a very discount golf clubs mixture of good taste and worthwhile boldness.
"They're parallel," Baddeley said. "It had been viewed as an old man's sport. However with guys like Rickie Fowler and Rory McIlroy (22-year-old Ping K15 Irons reigning U.S. Open champion) out here, it's changing the best way people acknowledge golf. Those guys have made it cool. The kids have really taken the baton."
Ricky Barnes put into the thought.
